EU Citizens 'Harmonized' with Codex Alimentarius and THuMPDed with the Loss of Hundreds of Herbal Medicines
The EU Directive - Traditional Herbal Medicine Products Directive (THMPD) came into force May 2011 across the Union. Hundreds of herbal medicines are now banned. These must be either licensed or prescribed by a registered herbal practitioner to comply with THMPD.

Under THMPD, the Alliance of Natural Health estimates it will cost the equiv of US $90,000 to $135,000 to register and license a single herb for sale in the EU.

So if you buy a Meadow Sweet infusion at the Spring Fete or there is Penny Royale growing in your field, then you may be liable for an array of creative penalities, offenses and infringements regarding controlled substances - defined by Codex Alimentarius as 'toxins'.
This exercise 'harmonizes' the unfortunate Euro citizens with Codex Alimentarius standards for New World Order food and health as dictated by the Global Elite and their Pharmaceutical cartel colloquially known as Big Pharma and the global elite. These standards dictate the removal of choices for national populations in terms of their food and medicine in the interests of public safety.
So what are these safety concerns that have necessitated the Codex Directive? Supposedly it is the Big Pharma concern herbal medicines will interact with pharmaceuticals in ways that will disable or modify the performance of the pharmaceuticals. Naturally, public health is always to the fore in the deliberations of Big Pharma. They certainly wouldn't want any adverse reactions from mixing pharmaceuticals and herbs.
Think about this. If you have been prescribed a generic drug which is the same chemical that is in Rat Sac to thin your blood and you also take a herbal medicine like Gingko Biloba - then you do in fact run the risk (a very high risk actually) of making your blood dangerously thin. This is not good. But it also provokes the question: if Gingko Biloba will condition the blood in such a way as to thin it, then why on earth would you be taking Rat Sac?
Big Pharma does not want you to go there. Hence, the EU ThuMP Directive is another exercise in TWAT Control that will remove health choice from the EU public.
